I have been thinking about advertising and promotion lately. I have use a regular newsletter generated from my web page, this weblog, a printed newsletter and a variety of ads that I purchase including Google ads. I am pretty careful about tracking the results the each method brings and am sometimes surprised by the lack of results.
I have been in Philadelphia for a couple of speaking engagements over the last several days. As always it is great to be home, even if my desk has turned into a pile of paper while I was out. This afternoon will be spent playing catch up and preparing for meetings tomorrow.
Wind and some of the coldest temperatures of the winter have been the features so far this month. Lows have been around 0 and afternoon highs are in the teens with a stiff wind making it feel colder. We are scheduled for snow this afternoon and tonight to add to the feel of winter still hanging on. Needless to say my plans for an early spring and start to the guiding season have been put off. At least for a couple of weeks.
