Last week was very busy with fishing trips and a canoe trip thrown in for good measure. The days were exquisite with cool mornings, bright sunshine and perfect blue skies. Pictures tell the story far 
better than I could with only words.
Toward the end of a learn to fly fish trip earlier this week I noticed a painted turtle in floating near the shore of the pond that seemed to be having some trouble swimming. He would float for a while head up and then try to dive without much success.
While my season is transitioning from summer to fall there is a comforting sameness to that transition. I am busy trying to get the dogs (and me) into the woods each day for some exercise, fishing on foggy mornings with changing leaves in the background and regular clients who appreciate this time of year like I do.
