Experience the Maine outdoors like never before: with a Master Maine Guide who’s an expert on the area’s geography, wildlife, and history. Learn new techniques to hone your fly fishing skills, whether a beginner or more experienced angler.
This trip will be exclusive to your party, so you can choose whether it will be a full-day or a few hours.
Where and When
We’ll start with a half hour of fly casting basics, then you’ll spend the rest of the trip using your new skills to catch a fish or two. You’ll have your Master Maine Guide with you on this private trip, to guide you and coach you at every step.
We’ll tailor this trip to your fly fishing needs, whether you’re a beginner or are more experienced. If you’ve already taken casting lessons, we’ll spend time on other important topics:
- Improving your cast
- Equipment selection
- Basics of fish biology
- How fish biology impacts location and fly selection.
We’ll travel to the hidden fishing spots only known to locals, then will focus on either trout or bass for the day. Locations may include Megunticook Lake, Seven Tree Pond in Union or the Saint George River in Thomaston.
We’ll choose the location based on the weather that day and which place has the best chance for you to successfully catch a fish.
