This summer has been like the last few in that a trip without an eagle sighting on fresh or saltwater was unusual.

I almost always fish with at least two anglers in the boat; friends, couples, families more than one. On most trips the number of fish on the line pretty much evens out, not exactly but close. Sometimes though it is completely lopsided and I cannot explain it.

Each summer Argy and I try to slip away for a couple of days and take a mid-summer break. Last weekend we had two free days and headed off to the North Maine Woods and Libby Camps.
