I don't know if it is because I am not driving to Libby Camps every week or enjoying the more relaxed pace of only offering fishing trips this fall. I was asked last minute to speak to the monthly meeting of the Penobscot Fly Fishers tonight. They offered a free meal and the chance to talk about anything I wanted to a gathering of I expect about a dozen folks. This is my big chance what will I tell them?

September has been busy and the weather mostly nice. We did have some rain (not enough) but many days gave us nearly perfect temperatures and clear skies. I have been on the water with clients most days this months and almost every party asks “where is everybody?”. Not a change from normal from where I sit. I think that many consider summer to be over as soon as Labor Day passes.
