This week marks the unofficial end of my guiding season. Stripers have been gone since mid October, I finished at Libby Camps a few weeks ago and the freshwater fishing has slowed due to water and air temperatures heading down. This is the time to stop and take stock.

My Octobers for the last seventeen years have been spent guiding grouse and woodcock hunters at Libby Camps. This October was spectacular in terms of weather and the foliage. One afternoon in particular was especially pretty and I have a very clear picture in my mind of the yellows of the sugar maples in the afternoon sun.
afternoon. Many clients comment on how well the remote trolling motor works for how I fish and the convenience of being able to operate the boat from wherever I am standing.
