Most of my October is spent at Libby Camps in northern Maine, while I am guiding grouse hunters almost every day there are a few days off sprinkled in for me and the dogs. Today was one of those days off and Scott Story was kind enough to take me for a plane ride to look as some of the places we both hunt from the air.

I frequently say "just another day at the office" when someone mentions how pretty the scenery is. I usually follow with "welcome to my cubicle". Well the view from the office was pretty nice today. Check out the cubicle scenery this morning for yourself! Only one more day on the water then off to the woods for the rest of the month.

The summer season lasted well into September this year. The weather has been warm even hot although we have been promised a change today. Fishing held up far better than usual with good striper fishing right to the end of the month. The freshwater fishing has been slow to look like a normal fall with warm low water.
