I had just left the North Maine Woods after a brief scouting trip before guiding grouse and woodcock hunters for Libby Camps next month. I was filling the Sequoia with gas and the woman on the other side of 
the pump who I do not know says to me “what a great business to be in”.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Travel Writer Sherry Ott of Otts World on Saturday. Sherry had not fished since she was a kid and wanted to experience what Maine has to offer. The weather could not have 
been more cooperative perfect blue skies, a few clouds for effect and not a lot of wind. The fish on the other hand were not nearly as cooperative.
My role as Executive Director of the Maine Professional Guides Association brings interesting opportunities. One of the recent ones was when a local radio show did a segment on Maine Guides. The 
interviewer gave me lots of time and asked a great deal about what I do as a guide. Except for the quality of my phone connection a great interview.
