Getting there!

Yesterday we had enough snow to cover the ground. Sort of discouraging but spring is always a one step forward two steps back affair in Maine. Today and the rest of the week will make up for it by being sunny and seasonably warm. Not summer mind you but warmer than yesterday. To mark the snowstorm I did a little fly fishing for trout and managed to land a couple of brook trout.

Back on the Water

After removing the cover from the Lund Alaskan over the weekend getting out on the water was looking easy. Today’s weather forecast did not look promising but the radar image showed that I had a few hours Early Season Megunticook Rainbow Troutbefore the rain started in earnest. So I loaded a fly rod and hooked the Lund to the Sequoia and headed to Megunticook Lake in Camden.
