As we approach the unofficial end of summer my transition to fall has already begun. What I expect will be my last saltwater fishing trip will be Sunday afternoon. Not finished fishing for the season to be sure but my focus will shift to freshwater. I also think that last family fishing trip for the season is scheduled for early next week.

Most mornings on the lower Saint George are beautiful and I always report that at home but there is nothing like seeing it firsthand. We had my brother and sister in-law visit last weekend which prompted a seal watching trip on the river.

The seasons are changing and we are headed to fall. The signs are all around the cardinal flowers are in full bloom along the river banks, red leaves here and there along the roads and a few flame red maples in the swamps.
