Of course the weather is still way too warm but the pace slows a little. There is time to relax some and make a few repairs. Today’s challenge is the garage door but that is another story. After this stretch of warm weather we begin the turn towards fall with clear crisp days and cool nights. The time of year I always look forward to.

As this excellent season winds down it struck me this afternoon; the only time a canoe was off of the trailer was last spring when I was personally doing some trout fishing.

The unofficial end of summer is always frantically busy with everyone squeezing in one last outdoor experience before heading back to school and this year has been no different. I have been on a variety of family fishing trips and several learn to fly fish trips.
