After 30 years at Maine Outdoors and several years as the Executive Director of the Maine Professional Guides Association I am sometimes presented with amazing opportunities. Last week I got to introduce Maine Senator Susan Collins at the Associations annual banquet.

After removing the cover from the Lund Alaskan over the weekend getting out on the water was looking easy. Today’s weather forecast did not look promising but the radar image showed that I had a few hours before the rain started in earnest. So I loaded a fly rod and hooked the Lund to the Sequoia and headed to Megunticook Lake in Camden.

The Maine Professional Guides Association annual banquet will be held next Saturday April 9th, at Jeff's Catering in Brewer. Senator Susan Collins has agreed to attend and help Commissioner Woodcock of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife present the Legendary Maine Guide Award.
