Family Fall Fishing

Blog Tags:

October always has me guiding a variety of trips every year but this year has even more variety than other years. Last weekend was spent fishing with a family. Saturday we fished on Megunticook Lake in Camden. The weather was cool and very windy, we did manage to catch a few fish but the fall scenery was the best part of the trip to be sure. Staying out of the strong wind was important for everyone’s comfort.

Sunday we fished on Round Pond in Union. The weather was cool with a little less wind and the clouds just did not want to leave. We did not land on the school of perch that I have been chasing all summer. Seems like they have moved into deeper water for the winter. We were very successful with bass and pickerel in the sunny shallows.

I have fishing trips booked through the end of October and I expect that will guide a few in November. The more I fish in the fall the more I enjoy it lets hope for more great weather.

We had a great time over the two days. Thanks Don!
