Fishing with your kids

I always go on about how great it is to fish with kids and last evening was the proof for me. I met my now grown son Noah at the boat launch after he got out of work. We chose Megunticook Lake in Camden because it is nearby for him and I like to fish there. We spent a couple of hours casting flies for rainbow trout in a quiet cove. The fish were cooperative enough to keep our interest, including one that broke off my fly. We also got to see a very pretty sunset.

It is a great pleasure to see that he can cast as well as I can; OK actually better. Enjoys fishing and takes a pretty great picture.  I would have to say that the Lifetime fishing license we gave him now twenty years ago was a good investment.

We are planning a repeat soon. You should too!
