What great weather!

The last two days have been exquisite warm enough but not too warm. Beautiful blue skies and just enough breeze to discourage the bugs. Saturday was the Kids Fishing Event on Seven Tree Pond as always a great success. Good turnout, plenty of volunteers and fish for the kids to catch. What weather!

Today I guided a party on a pond that I had let fall out of my repertoire. The boat launch is a little rough and the road in not much but the fishing more than made up for the difficult launch. We had many good bass up to maybe 3 pounds both large and smallmouth. Plenty of pickerel and a brook trout of just under 15 inches followed quickly by a brown trout of 16 plus inches needless to say an excellent variety.

Tomorrow has me on Megunticook Lake in Camden for the first family fishing trip of the season. I am looking forward to it already!

Are you a legand in your own mind like last year?? How did thoes flies work out? I have come up with another pearch pattern, little bigger, tied with rabbit top & bottom!
Aj

Not legendary just yet AJ but working on it! The perch pattern has met with modest success, i would be interested in trying the rabbit version as it might give the fly a little more bulk. Pike today on a learn to fly fish trip, not big but still a pike. Pictures and blog post to follow soon.
