Unsettled weather

The end of this week is marked by an unsettled weather pattern. The pattern can best be described as afternoon and evening thundershowers and morning fog that leaves the air feeling damp all day. Luckily it is not too hot. Yesterday I was able to get in my morning striper trip and even mow the lawn in the early afternoon, before the rain started. This morning I awoke to the sound of rain on the leaves of the trees outside my windows and even though the rain was over by 7AM my morning canoe trip called to cancel. I was able to make use of the time by getting ready for trips this afternoon and the next couple of days so it was not a loss.

Funny how over the years some cancel if the weather is less than perfect and others go almost whatever the weather overall though I have been very lucky. I have a few cancellations every summer, sometimes I have to cancel a trip due to bad weather or a mechanical breakdown. I have been fortunate over the years though that it does not happen more frequently. With a relatively short summer season I hate think of the fun my clients are missing not being on those trips.
