Sure sign of Spring

I know that it is early in the season but I could not resist warm sort of, sunny and breezy. I called to see if the Lund Alaskan could go in for the annual spring overhaul. The answer was of course. So I spent the morning taking the cover off and taking the boat to Waldoboro. A sure sign of the approaching spring!

Of course there is still plenty of ice on the ponds and the temperature is only in the 40’s but it won’t be long now; I’ll be ready for the April 1 Maine freshwater fishing season opening.

Maybe it's not spring yet. But I know it feels good to take part in these rituals that prepare us for warm weather activities.
