November Boat Trip

Blog Tags:

Mid November Argy and a few of her friends spent a weekend at one of the cottages on Seven Tree Pond. That Saturday was beautiful, warm with no wind. In fact it was amazingly still, the surface of the pond was like glass all afternoon. We went for a scenic boat trip in the Lund down the Saint George River, through White Oak Pond and down the river as far as the Middle Road in Warren.

Because of the November rains the river was quite high making it possible to take that big boat into places where only a canoe could travel. On the way down river we saw two adult beavers sunning themselves on logs.

The highlight of the return trip was a group of five eagles perched in the trees just below White Oak Pond. A beautiful afternoon out and a delightful scenic boat trip on the Saint George River. Argy posted more pictures and her description on her blog. I can’t imagine that there will be too many more this season!
