It has been several years since we had deep cold for any length of time. All of us are asking when will winter be over. Wood piles are shrinking rapidly, and we are all wondering when warmer days will come. For the record on these cold days, I bring in 25 sticks of firewood for each stove and will need the same amount tomorrow. Still, this is Maine and the weather could change at any moment.
Most of the last week was spent attempting to get a new computer at the heart of Maine outdoors. It was fascinating because of my interactions with various customer service entities. I am also renewing my U.S. Coast guard license a once every 5 year activity. All with a range of customer service contact and positive feeling.
We had the Blizzard of 2022 here like most of you further down the east coast. It was quite a storm with a high on Saturday of around 8 degrees with a stiff
northeast wind. Even the dogs did not want to go outside.
