Great way to spend a rainy morning

The forecast was less than promising for this morning the later it got the more likely rain was. This morning’s clients were not deterred, although they were delighted to hear that I had rain gear on board. The reality was way better than the forecast we only had a few showers and needed the rain gear for a few minutes. The fish were also not deterred on Megunticook Lake although we went the first twenty minutes without a fish. After that slow start and making the changes in lures and where we were fishing it all clicked for the next three hours.

Only largemouth bass came to the boat along with a good number of pickerel and perch. No smallmouth at all which is unusual. The fish came steadily including these nice specimens.

I am looking forward to tomorrow morning another lake but the weather conditions should be similar with any luck the fishing will be as great.

Once again our fishing trip with Don was one of the highlights of our trip. He is the ultimate guide and a pleasure to be with. Our fishing time was over in a flash! See you the next time we're in town.
