The forecast this morning called for scattered showers with the chance of a thundershower. I have had today’s reservation for some time and the day could not be changed. So off we went! I supplied raingear and really it was not raining that hard until about 11 or so when we found ourselves in a thunderstorm! I was too far from the boat launch to even consider a run for it. Pulled the Lund up under some low overhanging trees and waited it out. Like most thundershowers it did not last long. After about a half an hour back to the fishing.
After lunch fishing was very good for about an hour and then seemed to stop for the rest of the afternoon. Overall a pretty good day on (and out in) the water. As you can see using big flies seems to improve the size of the fish we catch.
