Above is a short video of a few seconds on Lake Megunticook in Camden in early October. Take a minute (actually less) and see just how pretty fall can be here in Maine.
When the last trip of the fall is finished it will end my 39th season guiding at Maine Outdoors. Hard to imagine that sometime next winter I will begin my 40th year working as a guide at Maine Outdoors. As I think back over all of those years I marvel at all of the great folks I have had the chance to spend time with outdoors. Several thousand to be sure
Lately I have been guiding over 100 trips a season. Some clients I have spent time with for many of those seasons. Rewarding for a fact and a total pleasure for me. I would like to celebrate the 40th year somehow and would be delighted to hear ideas from you about how best to mark the achievement.
One idea that I hope to make progress on this winter is converting 20 years worth of blog posts to a book of some sort. No small amount of desk time will be involved in accomplishing that one. We will see how it progresses.
With this newsletter I am finished the every two weeks newsletter schedule for another season. From now until spring only one a month will clutter your inbox. I plan to still post to the blog once a week for most of the winter.
It looks like the weather will continue dry and warmer than normal for the rest of October. Don't miss out on seeing Maine at the the best time of the year. You can make a reservation for a trip at this link.
As always come write or call if I can help you create your outdoor memories.
Best regards,
