Fantastic news – most of our local lakes are finally ice-free! I know, I know, you're probably thinking, "Woohoo, fishing time!" But, well, Mother Nature's decided to throw us a curveball. We're currently dealing with a "charming" 32 degrees and a delightful mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet, and snow. One weather forecaster even hilariously called it "all the precipitation food groups!" Basically, it's not exactly prime time for a day on the water, or even for getting your boat prepped.
It's still early April, and winter's definitely putting up a bit of a stubborn fight before it finally says goodbye. Don't worry, though – warmer temperatures and sunny skies are on their way! Just... maybe give it a little bit. Hang in there, we'll get there!
After a winter of hauling firewood and staying glued to my desk, I've got to admit, I'm itching to get outside! Since that's not quite in the cards yet, I'll be cranking up the heat in the garage and getting busy spooling line onto all the fishing rods and organizing my spring tackle order. At least I can dream about those future fishing trips with you! And the good news is, we should be seeing some warm, sunny weather soon enough to get back to the outdoor stuff.
One of the bright spots of my winter has been connecting with folks planning their summer outings with me. It's been wonderful chatting with returning friends, reminiscing about past adventures, and helping newcomers figure out which trip would be perfect for them. It's a constant, happy reminder of all the fun that's just around the corner!
I hope that you are looking forward to that day as much as I am! You can make a reservation for your trip at this link.
As always come write or call if i can help you create some outdoor memories.
Best regards,
