A Surprise on Yesterdays Trip

Had a great time on a learn to fly fish trip yesterday I asked Chris (the intern) to paddle around and take a few shots from the kayak. As you can see he got a bunch of interesting shots from that perspective.

The weather was perfect we saw several eagles and caught a few fish including a small pike. It looks like pike are in the Saint George drainage to stay.

The last one, blog post here, that I caught (not far from where this one came to the boat) it was much bigger. So they have successfully spawned at least once. This individual was covered with parasites; I wonder if there is a parasite that is slowing the spread of this invasive species in this watershed?
