This morning was a delight; warm but not too warm and sunny with a slight breeze. Fishing was a little slow but still several nice bass came to the boat on stickbaits fished slowly. Including the largemouth in this picture that really shows how pleasant it was.
Many flowers are blooming now and there are tons of brilliant birds to see in the treetops that will very soon be hidden behind a green curtain. The orioles have arrived and I am pretty sure that I heard a rose breasted grosbeak this morning. The eagles nest on Seven Tree Pond in Union clearly has at least one chick. An adult sat very close to the nest watching while we fished nearby.
We also saw a handful of muskrats, geese with goslings and an osprey caught a fish in one of the coves we were fishing in just to prove that there were some around. Great to be back on the water again and looking forward guiding steadily over the next six months.
