Snowbanks are Shrinking

Today is warm (by February in Maine standards) and sunny. The wind is blowing out of the southwest our summer direction and the forecast is calling for warmer still in the next few days. We have had snow on the ground since early December and at least in our yard it is getting hard to find places to pile it. So with luck our snowbanks will be shrinking this week.

This warm weather makes my mind wander to the coming season as do the reservations that have started to come in. I want to start getting equipment out to be ready, but I am pretty sure this weather is just a tease. After all March is still a winter month in Maine.

So instead I’ll shovel the snow off the boats and make sure that the meltwater heads where it should by shoveling snow out of the way and chipping ice where I have to. If you are thinking about the coming season like I am give me a call or make a reservation online. Arranging your trip for this spring or summer will help make it seem closer!
