This has already been quite the winter already with a feature of me in Maine Invites You, All Maine Guides receiving the customer service award at the Governors Conference on Tourism to recognize our 115th Anniversary of being registered by the state. I learned while at the conference that I have several quotes in the new LL Bean book; Guaranteed to Last. The book is an interesting read with many great stories.
I really enjoyed the pictures of the old store something that I clearly remember from long ago. Along with a story about George Soule with who I spent hours talking about duck hunting and decoys when staffing a booth for the Maine Professional Guides Association way too long ago.
If you are interested in learning about a great Maine company this book is a great place to start.
