There is no denying it now, fall is here, and winter is not too far off. The temperature here yesterday morning was 24 and today the high never made 50. As you can see the sun has gotten far enough to the south to give us beautiful sunrises. A treat we will enjoy from now until March.
We are forecast to warm up at the end of the week and next week looks warm as well, so the warm fall continues. It is still very dry and at this point we need rain before the ground freezes but there is little in the long-term forecast to give much comfort.
I still have few more fishing trips to go before the season is over, but I am getting close to sending the Lund in for winter maintenance. If you are holding out until late season, that time is now. I have been very fortunate to have time to spend in the woods with my now aging bird dogs and some good friends. Makes the more open calendar pretty rewarding if you ask me.
