Lots to see!

My season is in full swing. On the water somewhere most every day. I enjoy the variety, different clients, freshwater, saltwater, eager fish, grumpy fish, rain and this summer mostly sun. One thing that is a benefit to all of that being outdoors is the variety of birds and wildlife that we get to see.

In the last week or so here is what I can remember that was notable

Eagles on almost every trip.

Ospreys on almost every trip.

Foxes along the road, in fields and even on my evening walks.

A young coyote crossing Route 1 in the highest gear in the middle of the afternoon.

A bobcat creeping along the shore of a pond.

Several deer along the shore of some lake, pond or even the saltwater. They really have little fear of people in a boat.

More mink than I have seen in many years hunting along the shores everywhere.

Turkeys with poults in many fields.

Along with the many other birds like cedar waxwings or rose breasted grosbeaks.

So even when it rains or the fish are grumpy there is lots to see. Get out there and see what you can see!
