Getting Ready for Next Season

This week is given to cleaning and repairing the equipment that makes my life as a guide possible. The Sequoia is being thoroughly cleaned inside and out after spending a month on dirt roads in the North Maine Woods. It will also be in the shop for a day for annual maintenance. The Lund Alaskan is getting its annual overhaul and tune up so that it will be ready to go as soon as the ice leaves the local ponds next spring. I’ve been replacing siding on the garage here and a team is working on an update www.maineoutdoors.biz that will launch this winter.

Many ask me what I do all winter I thought that I would explain some of what it takes to make your pleasant morning on the water possible next season. There is of course lots more to get ready before next spring and luckily there is still plenty of winter ahead of me. Plenty of time to get ready for more warm summer days on the water with you and your family!
