I would guess that our warm fall has come to an end. The weather forecast for the foreseeable future is for lows in the 20’s and high temperatures in the 30’s. No snow forecast at the moment; you know it is coming. It is after all Maine and the end of November. As I begin to put things away for the winter and get annual maintenance underway. I take a minute to reflect on how fortunate I have been. When I started Maine Outdoors, I had no idea that it take up most of my working life and that guiding would be such a rewarding thing to do.
For that I am truly grateful and each of you is the biggest part of that for me. First you choose to spend some of your time with me and allow me to show you a part of the world that I have come to know and love. Second many of you have become almost family. I get to spend time with your children (some even as infants) and grandchildren while sharing being outdoors and experiencing things, I get to enjoy every day. Like someone learning to cast a fly line or catching their first fish or seeing an eagle for the first time.
It is such a privilege and a joy to be part of your lives I am not planning to stop guiding anytime soon and for that I am truly thankful.
Enjoy this time of year when we all take stock and appreciate how fortunate we have been and know that I appreciate having each of you as a client.
Looking forward to seeing you all again next season.
Best regards,
