Fall is all but over and winter will be here soon with a blanket of snow and cold to match. Thankful for another great season of guiding, I have been working on firewood this week and thinking about the seasons here at Maine Outdoors. Many clients ask about what I do during the winter. Here is the seasonal rhythm of my year.
Mid November Argy and a few of her friends spent a weekend at one of the cottages on Seven Tree Pond. That Saturday was beautiful, warm with no wind. In fact it was amazingly still, the surface of the pond was like glass all afternoon. We went for a scenic boat trip in the Lund down the Saint George River, through White Oak Pond and down the river as far as the Middle Road in Warren.
The first party I guided at Libby Camps this fall spent two days fishing for brook trout and landlocked salmon and a day hunting for grouse and woodcock. They have posted a video of their trip online
