For many of you March is a spring month but here in Maine it is usually a full on winter month. Not this year! The Megunticook Lake Warden sent pictures of the ice being mostly gone and the ponds here in Union have been mostly ice free for a couple of weeks now.
This morning the air was not warm although it had that hazy sunny early spring look and smell. This is the last day of meteorological winter here in Maine and the first calendar day is only a few weeks away. 
While we have an extra day this February it sure doesn’t feel like a February day. Keep in mind that a year ago we had a tractor come in and push back the snowbanks so we had more room to pile snow.
I was working with a website consultant last week and she pointedly asked me. I don't see a list of things to bring along on my trip. Why is that missing? The answer is simply that as I have told many of you 
over the years. All you really need is a jacket and a smile!
