Yes it is cold fourteen below here this morning and the high for the day was around five at a little after noon. On the up side it is supposed to be much warmer tomorrow. Argy and I went to Rockland this morning and the harbor was covered in sea smoke. The Rockland Breakwater Light was showing above the smoke with the water hidden from view, very pretty if cold.

Snowing early this morning, it is scheduled to change to sleet and then rain. So far this has been a different winter from last year. We had lots of snow early in November then warm with rain and clouds in December, now January is already seesawing. After this storm goes by to our north the wind will blow and winter will be back. Those cold days you all ask about will be here for a week or so. The days are already noticeably longer we have added a few minutes of daylight to our afternoon.

We have had quite the stretch of weather. Rain, fog and cold for days; just not very nice to get out in and the lights are on all day. I have been in the office for a few days and am nearly caught up (don’t tell anyone) a warm afternoon to go and cast a fly would be a great diversion but it is not in the plan for a few days.
