This summer season is definitely slower, Mostly by choice, I am holding to a 5 day a week schedule and limiting the workday to 6AM to 2PM. The upshot is that my schedule is far less frantic and reality is only one trip per day. The other benefit is that most of my clients this summer are folks I have spent time with before. Truly a treat for sure and great fun to see some folks I have not seen for many years. Great fun all around.
One of the benefits that I did not expect is the ability to schedule different trips, sometimes in very different locations from my usual summer routine. Not to mention having time for other things like visiting with friends and family who visit the area.
As always there is a pile of firewood in our yard that needs to be stacked in the garage ready for next winter. I peck away at the job until one day it is complete for another year. The next step is to bring it onto the house one cartload at a time to keep us warm on the cold days ahead.
It was quite hot last week here but we seem to be returning to normal temperatures and humidity levels. Hopefully that holds for the rest of the summer and into the fall. We are still in a bit of a drought which once again is impacting water levels in the lakes and ponds nothing like the last couple of summers but a concern always.
Striper fishing is at slow but on the upside the fish that are caught a big. Making for a nice reward along with the seals eagles and scenery, Still an exceptional experience.
