Blizzard? Well not so much

It appears that everyone up and down the east coast had quite a snowstorm yesterday. Here we had a lot of wind, cold and some snow. The wind was the big feature for sure and I am thinking that we met the definition of a blizzard. The bulk of the storm went out to sea far enough to our south so that we skipped most of the snow. When I was cleaning up this morning there was not a lot of new snow; maybe 5 inches and what there was had been beaten around by the wind into stiff drifts.

Today is a pleasant if breezy winter day with lots of sun shining down through a perfectly clear blue sky. The snow piles where the plow pushes up the snow are starting to get pretty big and will grow again tomorrow with a little more snow in the forecast.

Hoping that all of you covered up in the last storm have the same bright blue skies and warmish temperatures to get things back to normal today.
