Happy Holidays to each of you and your families! I hope that you enjoy the season.
Here in mid coast Maine we have enjoyed a cold and snowy stretch through late November and early December. The woodpile melted so quickly that I took an afternoon and brought in an extra half of a cord. Looking at it this morning even that won’t be enough. No worries with a couple more cords alongside the garage under cover in the event this trend continues.
Raining here this morning though and almost all of the snow is gone. The forecast for the coming week has snow in it so I am pretty sure that our Christmas will be white. The boat is due back from its annual trip for maintenance this week and with any luck I can get it parked and covered before the white stuff gets too deep.
My winter of meetings is off with a too busy start. It is hard to transition to sitting all day that is for sure. Although on the upside I am not out in the weather (like today for instance).
Many folks are giving Maine Outdoors gift certificates for various trips this year to loved ones. If you would like to do the same, I can send you one electronically and usually have them out in the same day. Just the thing for those who wait. Just reply to this e-mail and we can make it happen.
That you let me share your outdoor experiences is a gift that I am always grateful for. I am humbled by all of you who share time with me in the Maine Outdoors. I love your fresh perspective. It keeps me appreciating the places I get to visit and things that I see every day.
Thank you for being my clients and newsletter readers. Without you my perspective would be very different and oh yes I would not be doing what I love every day!
Enjoy the season I’m looking forward to seeing you again in the coming decade.
