While my season is transitioning from summer to fall there is a comforting sameness to that transition. I am busy trying to get the dogs (and me) into the woods each day for some exercise, fishing on foggy mornings with changing leaves in the background and regular clients who appreciate this time of year like I do.
I offer a family fishing trip designed to introduce families with kids to fishing, over the years it has become a very popular trip. We do not fish for big fish focusing instead on perch and sunfish and it is 
possible that the kids will each catch a dozen or so fish in an afternoon.
As we approach the unofficial end of summer my transition to fall has already begun. What I expect will be my last saltwater fishing trip will be Sunday afternoon. Not finished fishing for the season to be 
sure but my focus will shift to freshwater. I also think that last family fishing trip for the season is scheduled for early next week.
