Getaway!
This has been a busy winter; guides association duties have filled more of my days (and evenings) than I would like. Argy has been just as busy but we scheduled a few days together after a conference she was attending in New Orleans. I planned a day of fishing with Captain Lucas Bissett of Low tide Charters.

The new Lund Alaskan is scheduled for delivery in a couple of weeks, that is assuming that the weather begins to look a little more like spring (10 degrees with a strong wind at 9 AM today), and the boat that has been my working platform for the last six years was for sale. Until yesterday.
You may know that Maine’s bear biologists track bears using radio collars as part of their study of the population and as part of that they need to visit the dens of collared bears every winter. To get samples examine cubs and maintain the collars.
