Our Winter Heat Arrives

Clients that meet me here at the office usually ask do you burn wood for heat? The answer is yes, we prefer the warmth that you can only get from a woodstove. woodpile, dog kennel and Lund AlaskanNot to mention that the heat still works when the power is off.

This morning after a delay or two; our heat for the next two winters arrived. Our woodlot was too wet for the driver to deliver the wood up the road. So it is right out the office door piled high and waiting to be cut split and stacked into the garage for the winter. As you can see boat parking is a little cramped and the dogs are complaining about the view.

We burn four cords each winter consequently there is an eight cord pile blocking my view into the woods from my desk. The plan is always for the wood to be stacked in before I head to Libby Camps in October. We have passed the longest day and the tomatoes are getting red with the arrival of the firewood red leaves are not far off.
