After all of these years; ice fishing!

I have been asked many times about the possibility of an ice fishing trip and always turned down the requests because I was busy during the winter. Now that I am not working for the guides association all winter, I have some time and am offering a limited schedule of ice fishing trips. These trips will take place on beautiful frozen local lakes, where participants can try their hand at catching a variety of fish such as bass, perch, crappie and pike.

Maine Outdoors will provide all necessary equipment, including ice auger, rods, and bait. As always instruction and tips for those new to ice fishing. Besides the thrill of the catch, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the serene winter landscape and possibly spot some wildlife or follow their tracks.

My season will be between January 14 and February 26 this winter, morning and afternoon time slots are available.

Don't miss out on this unique and exciting winter activity. Space is limited, so be sure to book your trip in advance. I look forward to seeing you on the ice this winter!

Of course, now that I have committed to this winter activity it has been warm enough that we do not have any ice at the moment. I have faith though that the Maine weather will cooperate soon enough.
